Color Guard uses computer vision coupled with AI processing to wrap industrial machinery in a smart field, allowing the AI to differentiate between the operator and the work piece. Further, our patented machine interface technology allows the AI to control industrial machines in situations where safe distance from a cutting surface or pinch point is not maintained and learn over time to predict potentially unsafe operator movements to help prevent accidents. Having logged tens of thousands of hours in a real world manufacturing environment on dozens of industrial machines in the two years since we received abatement recognition from OSHA as an approved machine guarding mechanism, we are nearing the end of testing and quickly approaching product launch.
Color Guard’s patented relay based logic interface and AI processor are built using cutting edge i.MX8 RISC architecture, generating automated override signals in milliseconds while continuously maintaining control reliability. Color Guard is designed to be a general purpose, industrial control unit which can be commissioned to identify and act based on the identification (by presence or absence) of almost any detectable cue. From facial recognition which prevents unauthorized personnel from operating machinery to PPE identification at shop floor entrances, Color Guard can be deployed in an almost infinite number of applications.
Each Color Guard unit is fully configurable with wireless, Bluetooth and cellular interface modules to allow for constant connectivity. Using a smart device interface through our iOS and Android apps, even legacy machinery can be retrofitted so that cycle counts can be remotely monitored, and machine operations can be observed, controlled, and disabled as needed by authorized personnel.
